There will be lots to do and see at the 1st Annual Texas Music Jam! Copperas
Cove is set to welcome top country music artists and local musicians alike to
its inaugural Texas Music Jam at Ogletree Gap June 12. Through a
partnership between the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and CHAMPS — or
Communities Helping Americans Mature, Progress and Succeed, a Copperas Cove
Independent School District program for students — the event is designed to
offer family-friendly entertainment and activities. Before the music,
the day begins at 8 a.m. with a 5K fun run. A barbecue cook-off, concessions and
motorcycle viewing also will be available. Texas Music Artists Featuring: - Pat Waters

students and children 5 and under can enter for free & C.H.A.M.P.S. Members
Free. Attendees could also pack into one vehicle for $20 per car. The proceeds
go toward scholarships for CHAMPS, said Chamber Vice President Betty Price.
"It's going to be a big, fun event for the whole community," Price said.
